Le Coultre Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea Classique Limited Edition 1959 Mint Condition

And now a tribute to Deep Sea, a vintage Jaeger LeCoultre dive watch from 1959.

There are two new Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea models, one for the European market and one for the American market, as originally. The Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea is issued in two limited series: the “Jaeger-LeCoultre Classique 1959” intended for the European market (this one) and the “LeCoultre Spécial Amérique 1959” for the American market (the inscription on the dial changes).

The Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea has plexiglass identical to that of the vintage Deep Sea models! A detail I really appreciate. Jaeger LeCoultre increased the size of the case from 39.8 mm to 40.5 mm, still a very current size. The Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea “Classique 1959” and the Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea “Spécial Amérique 1959” share most of the specifications:

• automatic mechanical movement, Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 956, made, assembled and decorated by hand
  28,800 vibrations per hour – 23 jewels – 7.45 mm thick – 268 parts
  45-hour power reserve
  Functions: hours, minutes, central seconds and alarm clock
  Case: stainless steel, 40.5 mm diameter, convex plexi crystal, water resistant to 10 bar or 100 meters
  Strap: black leather with steel pin buckle
  the Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea of the “Jaeger-LeCoultre Classique 1959,” made for the European market and limited to 959 pieces while the “LeCoultre Spécial Amérique 1959,” created for the U.S. market is limited to 359 pieces.
