Rolex is usually known to be a rather conservative company, but the Daytona we have here shows that its designers certainly have a taste for the spectacular. In the early 2000s, Rolex introduced an extravagant version of its Daytona Ref. 116519 in 18-karat white gold.
These watches were nicknamed “Daytona Beach” and the cool-factor comes from the stone or mother-of-pearl dial with four different dial colors: turquoise, yellow, pink and green, with a complementary matching lizard strap.

Limited but unnumbered special edition.

To highlight the extravagant look of the watch, Rolex delivered them together with a matching leather box and booklet, practically a unicorn in terms of rarity in Rolex history. The dial of the blue variant is Kallait, better known as Turquoise. Undoubtedly stunning. A Daytona Beach is always a rare treasure to find, and finding it new after 25 years is very difficult.
